TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Scratch 3.0: Coding for Teachers

The historical Data Science Malta programme introduced teachers to programming, the didactics of coding in primary and secondary education, Scratch 3.0 and the creation of a Scratch project.

01 · Coding in the classroom

Explore how coding can be introduced to students and how computational thinking can be integrated into classroom practice.

02 · Scratch 3.0

Develop practical familiarity with Scratch 3.0 and the core concepts learners encounter when building interactive projects.

03 · Build a Scratch project

Apply the learning by creating a complete Scratch project and considering how the activity could be adapted for students.

Historical note: the original edition of this programme was presented as professional development and was funded by the eSkills Malta Foundation. Any new funded edition would require current funding confirmation; the old funding status is not assumed to continue automatically.
